Delaware-based soprano, Amanda Sheriff, spent her 2019/20 season singing Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Little Red (Little Red’s Most Unusual Day) with Opera Iowa’s touring troupe. During the summer, Amanda joined DMMO as an Apprentice Artist for their all virtual season due to COVID-19. Amanda will rejoin DMMO in 2021 to perform Miss Lightfoot (Fellow Travelers) and cover Amour (Platée). In 2018/19, Amanda sang Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the Stephen F. Austin State University Orchestra of the Pines, won Alumnus of the year, and spent the summer as an Emerging Artist at Seagle Music Colony performing the role of Susanna in (Le nozze di Figaro). In 2017/18, Amanda appeared with the renowned Ron Raines and the Longview Symphony. She also was the soprano soloist in Faure’s Requiem with St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church. Amanda Sheriff, graduated with both her BM (2016) and MM (2018) from Stephen F Austin State University. Amanda won recitalist of the year in 2016 and 2018. During her time in academia, Sheriff performed Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Rosabella (The Most Happy Fella), Marenka (Prodaná nevěsta), Anne (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor), and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte).
