Katherine Holobinko is a soprano from Fort Mill, South Carolina.
A recent Central City Opera studio artist and MM graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, she portrayed the roles of Enoch’s Daughter (Carousel), Meg (Little Women) and Annina (La Traviata).
She is the 2021 winner of the CO/WY district of the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions and an incentive award winner from the SAS Performing Arts Competition.
Holobinko holds degrees in French and Voice from the Johns Hopkins University and Peabody Conservatory.
Past roles including Prince (The Little Prince), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Nina (Chérubin), Sister Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), and L’Eternità/Furia 1 (La Calisto).
A first year Studio member, this season Ms. Holobinko will be singing A Nurse in A Streetcar Named Desire, A Page in Rigoletto, and Lucy in Fellow Travelers.
