Soprano Sydney Dardis, a native of Laguna Niguel, California, is a recent Vocal Arts Master of Music graduate from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Darrell Babidge. Ms. Dardis also completed her undergraduate degree from The Juilliard School as well. During her time at The Juilliard School, Ms. Dardis has performed in roles such as Tytania from Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Flora from Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, and Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi; she has covered roles such as Giannetta from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Amore from Rossi’s L’Orfeo by Rossi, and Anna Reich from Nicolai’s Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor. In 2023, Ms. Dardis was pleased to have been named a winner of the New York Regional District in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In Summer 2022, Ms. Dardis was named a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, where she performed as the Reporter in Wallace’s Harvey Milk and covered roles such as Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen and 1st Spirit in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Then, directly after, she returned to The Aspen Music Festival and School where she covered Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff.
