Vanessa_IsiguenSoprano Vanessa Isiguen recently performed the role of Beatrice Russo (Catàn’s Il Postino; New York debut) with Mannes Opera in 2014, and joins the Glimmerglass Festival this coming summer to perform the role of Roberta Alden (Picker’s An American Tragedy). Additional recent engagements include her participation as a soprano soloist (Wheeler, The Sorrows of Frederick) for a workshop performance with the Metropolitan Opera in 2013, High Priestess (Aida) in 2012 and Jou-Jou (Lehar’s The Merry Widow) in 2010 with Opera Tampa, Mimi (La Bohème) with Boston Opera Collaborative in 2010, and Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore) in 2012 and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) in 2011 with New York Lyric Opera. Vanessa has also won prizes from the Gerda Lissner Foundation, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Connecticut Opera Guild, the Jenny Lind Competition, and the Bel Canto Competition. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory, and is currently completing her second year as an artist diploma candidate at Mannes College – The New School for Music.
